Peninsula Open Studios, located south of San Francisco, hosts exhibitions of artists (including photographers) each year in the fall. They do accept a certain number of guest artists from out of the area, which is how I started exhibiting and why most of my first shows were in the Bay Area. I have been a part of this organization for three years. In 2005, their World Council of Arts and Culture selected two of my photographs, "White Horse/Grapevine" and "Crane/Vancouver Island," for their international juried show at the Herbst International Pavilion in the Presidio of San Francisco. My work was also exhibited in December with POS at the Triton Museum, Rose Shenson Pavilion, in Santa Clara. In 2004, POS joined with the Palo Alto Arts Center and Wildlife Rescue for a reception, show and auction. In 2003, their juried show also at the Herbst International Pavilion. My "Taj Dawn" and "Clouds, Himalayas, Dal Lake" were selected for that exhibition.
My postcards are printed through this Oakland-based company. I've dealt with them mostly through the internet. Their guidelines for preparing the files are excellent. I particularly appreciated their explanation on printing solid black within a document, since I wanted to print my black and white photos on a card for the first time.
Ok. It really isn't a favorite, but it is EXTREMELY important to those of us who create images. You may want to check out this site if you even thought of wanting to download or copy the images in my website. All are protected under copyright law. All parts of the photographs. They may not be used for "derivative" purposes either without infringing on the copyright, as in, you may not use them as the basis for anything you want to create. There are severe penalties and some photographers make a lot of money when they catch their images in use without permission and/or payment of use fees. PLEASE NOTE--NONE OF MY IMAGES ARE PUBLIC DOMAIN.

Professional framing by a Certified Picture Framer who cares that your work is displayed in archivally safe materials. All of my photos are framed here. Actually, I'd use Dan for framing even if he weren't my husband. This is a home-based design studio in Woodland Hills. He does a mobile framing service within the area, or you can arrange to meet him at the studio. Because Dan is able to avoid many of the costs of a retail store, he keeps his prices well below average, even while using the best materials and techniques.
